whattimefor.me is a free tool for sharing a meeting time that everyone sees in their own time zone. It is built and run by one person, Shihabul Islam Mahir, based in Bangladesh, who is responsible for the data described below.
The short version: there are no accounts, no cookies, no advertising trackers and no third-party analytics. IP addresses are never stored as part of analytics. Meeting details are only kept when you create a short link, and they are deleted after 90 days.
1. Meeting links you create
When you create a link, you can enter a meeting title, a time, a time zone, your name and a meeting URL (for example a Zoom or Google Meet link).
- Short links (whattimefor.me/m/…): these details are stored on our server so the short link works. They are deleted automatically 90 days after the link is created. There is no list or search of meetings; a meeting can only be opened by someone who has its link.
- Long links: the details are written into the link itself and are not stored by us.
Anyone who has a link can see what it contains, so only share links with the people you mean to invite. Please don’t put sensitive personal information in a meeting title.
2. Usage statistics
To understand how the site is used, we record simple events, such as a page being viewed, a link being created or the “Join meeting” button being clicked. Each event records:
- the event name and which page it happened on;
- your country, as reported by our hosting provider (never your city);
- whether you are on a mobile or desktop device;
- the website that sent you here (the site name only, never the full address);
- a code used to count unique visitors per day. It is created from your IP address, your browser’s user-agent and the current date. The IP address itself is not stored, and the code changes every day, so you cannot be followed from one day to the next.
Meeting titles, meeting URLs and names are never included in usage statistics.
The visitor counter on the home page also keeps a random token in your browser so that refreshing the page isn’t counted as a new visit. Our server only keeps a record that it has seen this token for that day.
3. Feedback
If you send feedback, we receive your message, the email address you give (this is optional), the page you sent it from, your time zone and your country. It reaches us as an email, and we keep it only as long as we need it to reply or fix the problem. To stop spam, your IP address is held for one hour to limit how many messages can be sent, and is then deleted.
4. Data stored only in your browser
Some settings are saved in your browser’s local storage and are never sent to us: your light or dark theme, a time zone you chose, the name you last entered, and a list of links you recently created. You can delete them at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.
5. Who processes the data
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which stores short links, usage statistics and feedback on our behalf and may keep standard technical logs. We do not sell or rent data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
If you click “Add to Google Calendar”, the meeting details are sent to Google so that it can create the event. That is covered by Google’s own privacy policy. The “Join meeting” button takes you to whatever service the link’s creator entered, and that service has its own privacy policy.
Sponsored links, when shown, are ordinary links. Sponsors receive no data from this site.
6. Legal basis (for visitors in the EU/UK)
We rely on legitimate interests for running the site, keeping it secure, preventing spam and measuring its use in a privacy-friendly way. We rely on your request when we store a link you create or reply to feedback you send.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, or to object to how it is used. Most of the data we hold can’t be linked back to you. If you created a short link and want it deleted before the 90 days are up, or you have any other privacy request, contact us using the feedback form on the home page and include the link. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Children
This site is a work tool and is not aimed at children under 13.
9. Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will change too.
